We have relationships with producers, (farmers and farmer organizations and processors) in several continents, such as Africa, Asia and South America. We see that the demand for sustainably grown and processed agricultural products is growing, but we experience that supply lags behind. Switching to sustainable production takes time and investments, but also requires a different mind-set. We teach and let producers experience that switching to sustainable methods will already bring benefits in production volume and a healthier environment at the next harvest, and thus health benefits for the producers themselves. People are often surprised how quickly this happens. In the switch to sustainable production, for the purpose of financing the switch, we will buy and sell products not yet produced sustainably. After all, the producer (mostly the farmer) cannot be without income.

Depending on demand and where insufficient sustainably grown agricultural products are still available, we will also offer traditionally grown products.

Besides using organic fertilizers, we attach great importance to purifying and improving (irrigation) water. This is important because contaminants in the water often complicate cultivation and make plants more susceptible to diseases.
